Lenalid 10 mg contains lenalidomide, a medicine that belongs to a class of drugs known as immunomodulatory agents. It is a second-generation analogue of thalidomide, developed to be more effective and better tolerated. Lenalid is used mainly in the treatment of certain cancers of the blood and bone marrow, helping the immune system fight abnormal cells more effectively. Mechanism of Action

Lenalidomide works through several pathways. It enhances the body’s immune response by stimulating T cells and natural killer cells, which helps target and destroy cancer cells. Uses

Lenalid is commonly used to treat:

• Multiple myeloma
  Usually in combination with dexamethasone or other therapies in patients who have already received prior treatment.

• Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS)
  Especially in patients with deletion 5q cytogenetic abnormality, a type of genetic change in the bone marrow.

• Mantle cell lymphoma
  In some cases, particularly when the disease has relapsed or is not responding to other treatments.
