Romisen contains Romiplostim, a man-made protein used to treat chronic immune thrombocytopenia in adults and children who do not respond well to other treatments such as corticosteroids or immunoglobulins. It helps to increase platelet counts in patients at risk of bleeding due to a low platelet level.

Mechanism of Action:

Romiplostim is a thrombopoietin receptor agonist. It works by stimulating the bone marrow to produce more platelets. It mimics the natural hormone thrombopoietin, which plays a crucial role in the development of platelets from precursor cells called megakaryocytes.
