Doxywell contains Doxycycline, a widely used broad-spectrum antibiotic that belongs to the tetracycline group. It is effective against many bacterial infections and is often used when first-line antibiotics are not suitable or effective.

Mechanism of Action:

Doxycycline works by stopping the growth of bacteria. It does this by attaching to the bacteria’s ribosomes, which are responsible for making proteins. By blocking protein production, the bacteria cannot grow or multiply, leading to their gradual elimination from the body.

Uses:

Doxywell is commonly prescribed for:

• Respiratory tract infections like pneumonia or bronchitis

• Urinary tract infections

• Sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia or gonorrhoea

• Skin conditions like acne or rosacea

• Eye infections and certain types of malaria

• Infections caused by tick or insect bites, including Lyme disease and rickettsial infections
