NexGard is a monthly chewable tablet for dogs that helps protect against fleas and ticks. It contains the active ingredient afoxolaner, which starts working quickly and provides continuous protection for 30 days. It is beef-flavoured, making it easy to administer to dogs of all sizes and breeds.

Mechanism of Action:
Afoxolaner works by targeting the nervous system of fleas and ticks. It blocks specific neurotransmitter pathways in parasites, leading to uncontrolled nerve activity, paralysis, and eventually death. This action begins shortly after ingestion, killing fleas before they can lay eggs and helping to control infestations effectively.

Uses:
NexGard is used in dogs for:

• Killing adult fleas and preventing flea infestations

• Treating and controlling tick infestations, including those caused by species that may carry diseases

  Adverse Effects:
  NexGard is generally safe for most dogs, but a few may experience side effects such as:
