Pulmonext 10 mg contains Ambrisentan, an endothelin receptor antagonist prescribed for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)—a condition in which the blood pressure in the lungs’ arteries is elevated, burdening the right side of the heart. By easing resistance in pulmonary vessels, the drug relieves strain on the heart and helps improve overall quality of life.
Mechanism of Action
Ambrisentan works by blocking endothelin receptors, preventing endothelin (a chemical naturally produced in the body) from causing blood vessels to constrict. By widening the pulmonary arteries, it reduces pulmonary arterial pressure and eases blood flow from the heart to the lungs
